Bristol Street Trees
monitors trends of urban tree removal and replacement in the City of Bristol

In 2006, Bristol Street Trees first began to investigate the problem of why so many trees, especially those lining our streets, were being felled, usually by Bristol City Council.

At the time there was little evidence of any being replaced. Of particular concern was that this was happening without any notice or public consultation, even in conservation areas.

This website exists as a record of our campaign in Bristol, and as a resource for others elsewhere, interested in protecting threatened trees and enhancing the local enviroment.

We're updating the site. It will take a few days - please bear with us... Many thanks!
